Image 2: In my public high school, we were expressly prohibited from wearing jeans. The administration claimed that the rivets on the jeans scratched the plastic seats, but I believe the real motivation was to keep some sense of decorum in the school, short of requiring a uniform. I'm not sure I disagree with them in hindsight, but we guys sure bristled at the time. -Scott
