King Kong is an incredibly sad movie. I didn't think so when I first saw it; it was just a monster movie then. But now it's so depressing it's hard to watch. By the way, King Kong is the first movie I ever saw in a theater. My parents were selling their house in the city of Cleveland at the height of "white flight" and the Realtor wanted the family out of the house for a showing, so we all went to see King Kong. This had to be in 1957 or 1958, so it was a revival. -Scott
