This nightclub on La Cienega, briefly called "Cabaret", was the best place to go in the spring of 1975. It later became "OSKOS", straight club. The oil derrick in the background is where the Beverly Center Mall is now located. The oil well is still there and that is why the Beverly is built in a crescent shape. Those of us still around o remember know that the film "Thank God it's Friday" was filmed there. Terrible movie. Oh also, before the Beverly Center was built there was a small amusement park, "Kiddieland" or a name close to that. It was there for years. Walt Disney would take his kids there to ride the ridxdes and there were also pony rides.
