My parents were of very modest means, and we hardly ever went out to eat when I was young. However, once a year, my parents treated the family to a dinner out at a cafeteria-style restaurant in downtown Cleveland, Ohio; I can't even remember the place's name. Boy, was it ever an event for my family! I hadn't thought about that in years, Craig. Thanks for jogging a good memory for me (with Clifton's).

Follow-up comment: I Googled "Cleveland cafeteria" after I posted my previous comment and instantly got the result: Forum Cafeteria, "in its heyday, a grand, two-story cafeteria."
