We had a branch (I assume) of the Brown Derby Restaurant in the suburbs outside Cleveland, Ohio, where I grew up. It was perched on a hill alongside a freeway leading directly south out of Cleveland. It boasted a huge sign, so that as drivers crested a hill and descended the other side , the sign was right there in their faces. It was not shaped like a hat, but from its site perched on a hill and with a huge bank of north-facing floor-to-ceiling windows, there was a great view into downtown Cleveland (for what it's worth).
