I read his biography, and it is well documented that when he did his strongman shows, that for an extra fee you could go backstage where he would let you feel him up. Hmmm. He made his living from selling his bodybuilding books, and thanks to the internet you will find many sexy nude photos of him. They were actually called "cabinet cards" and one way to get them was free in a pack of smokes. It is hard to believe that male nudity did not upset the Victorian era people nearly as much as in the 40s, 5os, and 60s. One reason is that they were used to all of their marble statues of nude Greek and Roman Gods and figures and were not close minded as you would expect.
